Mitsubishi Chemical Corp

• Cathod Material (Positive Electrode)LiMn2O4 (HMA) & LiNiCoMnO2
  Annual Manufacturing reaches 50 tons, and the current capacity is scheduled to be enlarged, following continuous increase in demand.
• Anode Material (Negative Electrode) Graphite (MPG)
  MPG is a typical high capacity graphite product, developed by joint R&D both Mitsubishi Chemical and Matsushita Electric, Japan. Since its' first manufacturing in 1996, the current scale of production extends 1500 tons annually.
  Facility extension is on the agenda, for the present operating ratio exceeds 90%.
• Electrolyte (Sol-Rite)
  Having been recognized as world's most mature electrolyte manufacturer with more than 20 year history, Mitsubishi Chemical started to produce electrolytes for lithium primary battery, long before the emergence of lithium secondary battery. In terms of manufacturing capacity, advanced experience in functional application of electrolytes, database on additives, customer service, market share, and a patent right, Mitsubishi Chemical has been at the unrivaled market position. And Sol-Rite, the representative electrolyte product of Mitsubishi Chemical always makes progress, adequately responding to the current customer needs
• NMP
  NMP is a binder for PVDF system, and its' market share in Japan is virtually 100%. Among other lithium secondary battery material, this posts the highest market share.

• Separator
  The PE(UHMWPE: Ultra High Molecular Weight Poly Ethylene) separator displays flat structure, and it is specially designed to realized high porosity. As product of late starter, price competitiveness is main concern for the present. Additionally, Entek is continuously establishing their facility until the productive capacity reaches 1.4M m2 a month.

• Package(Al Pouch, Al Lamination Film: D-EL40H)
  Through swift response to customer needs, this product takes up to 70% stake of world market and over 90% of domestic market, respectively.
• Tab(Tab, Lead)
  There are two types product of surface coated aluminum and uncoated nickel.
• Tab Film(Tab Film, Lead Film)
  Flat or multi-layer films, compatible with D-EL40H, are provided.

• Current Collector (Expanded Metal)
  Dexmet, as major supplier of current collector for Belcore Telcoride typed plastic lithium secondary battery, occupies over 80% share of world market.

• Acetylene Black (Shawinigan Black)
  Chevron-Philips (CP) Chem. produces Acetylene Black, which is a typical conductive Carbon Black product. Acetylene Black is being used as an additive for conductivity enhancement, while processing cathod or anode slurry.

• Nano Carbon Fullerence
  Frontier Carbon Corporation succeeds the production of products of C60, C70, C76 and so on which stand for Nano Carbon.
  Those Nano Carbons are examined for using in many ways, and can make Li-Ion battery highly improve its capability.
